Now that we have a Starbucks on every corner, and in the middle
of some blocks, it’s almost too easy to find a coffee place.
But if you’re looking for something more than the same
old cookie-cutter coffee joint, someplace where you can relax
and hang out with friends or just grab a quiet moment all to
yourself, someplace that can really rock a coffee bean (instead
of just masking their low-grade brew with high-fructose corn
syrup), well… you’re in luck!
The Sacramento area is home to several truly excellent “third
wave” coffee houses. (Good old Folgers-in-the-can being first-wave,
and Starbucks being second.) So, next time you need a fix—or
just a simple moment for mom—check out one of these unique
and inviting spots. They’ll wow you with everything from
their friendly service to their latte art.

story, “She’s Crafty!” to learn more about the
SCM ladies.) The Coffee Garden is planted at 2904 Franklin Blvd.
