Like Buttah!

Flying off to see family for the holidays? Dreading the wait between security check-in and your flight’s boarding call? If you’re flying out of Sacramento, I recommend starting your vacation right then and there with a mani/pedi at butter LONDON salon.

They’re all about being non-toxic, so your healthy/greenie conscience can rest easy and there are no noxious fumes to interfere with your relaxation time. Their process is waterless (read: no risk of nail fungus among-us) and their super-friendly staff is practically boot-camp trained to get you out of there exactly within the time they promise (they have to—they work at an airport!), yet they never make you feel rushed.

Maybe best of all, they play cool music! (Think classic and modern brit rock: the Stones, Bowie, The Clash…) Hit after hit, it’s a wonderful oasis from the muzak elsewhere in the terminals. Pretty decent rates too (about $20 for a manicure, $40 for a pedicure)! Please note: passers-by are likely to gawk a little (jealous perhaps?); the space is not exactly private. It's still the most fun I've ever had killing time at SMF.

Either have Honey watch the kids as they run up and down that blue river that runs along the terminal floor (I’d do it too if I could get away with it), or have a relaxing mother-daughter moment while you kick back, pamper it up and prepare to take off.
