It’s never too early to start reading with your child. Reading helps kids develop their imagination, and it’s a great way to spend quality time together. Parents and caregivers can build a strong foundation of literacy by reading to children early and often!

1. Read aloud with your child every day, and point to pictures and words
2. Repeat rhymes and simple songs to enhance language skills
3. Create a reading area at home with regular family reading time
4. Visit the library together and sign your child up for a library card
5. Take books with you everywhere you go!
