Babbling is an important part of speech development. It helps strengthen your child's tongue, throat and lips. It’s also your baby’s way of experimenting with sounds and communication.
Play the "Babbling Game" with your child. When your sweet pea makes a sound, make the same sound back. Observe your baby's response when you imitate his or her sounds. As one mom reported, “My baby’s face lights up as if to say, ‘Wow! You understood me!’ and she babbles some more.”
